What are the responsibilities and job description for the executive chef position at Chetola Resort?
The beautiful Chetola Resort, located in Blowing Rock, NC, is looking for an Executive Chef to lead our team of culinarians in providing outstanding food to our Resort guests and clients.
Our Culinary Team provides food for the Timberlake's Restaurant, the bar, and for the hundreds of events hosted by the resort annually from small business meetings to elegant weddings.
Executive Chef responsibilities:
- Design and price menus that attract guests and are profitable for the resort.
- Lead kitchen team by teaching, training, and developing kitchen cooking skills.
- Maintain a culture of safety in the kitchen.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and implement food safety processes to pass inspections.
- Create schedules for kitchen team based on business levels and client needs.
- Work collaboratively with FOH F&B team and Sales team to best provide seamless product and service to guests.

The Chetola Resort is managed by Prospera Hospitality, a Pittsburgh, PA based Hospitality company with decades of experience managing hotels, resorts, and restaurants.
- Previous Culinary leadership is a requirement
- A degree from a culinary school is preferred
- 5 years of experience in a resort/hotel kitchen setting is a plus
