Chevron is accepting candidates for the PSM Coordinator position through 06/30/2023 at 11:59 CST. This position is part of Chevron’s Renewable Energy Group (CREG) and located at our Geismar renewable diesel production facility. This facility is in an exciting time of growth and capital expansion with a new renewable diesel production line with additional rail, truck and marine terminal shipping capacity. With this role we are looking to expand our Process Safety Management team in line with the growing complexity of the site. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: This Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator position key responsibility is for the management the site process safety information records, ensuring accuracy, and accessibility of critical records. This role will engage with site personnel to continuously improve the document control work process used to create, review, approve, issue, distribute, track and maintain critical plant records in support of OSHA Process Safety Management compliance. This position will also provide general PSM support such as PHA preparation, scribe, audit support, PSM process reviews and PSM metrics. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Serve as site focal point for Process Safety Information (PSI) database Support transition of Project Turnover of files into PSI database Manage and maintain document control activities Develop and maintain procedures for record retention processes Identify opportunities to improve document management work processes Ensure integrity and auditability of record updates Manage all PSM controlled records both hard copy and electronic Support end users of records to ensure efficient use of resources Develop training, guides, indexes for end users Manage access privileges of end users Assist in audit preparation & closeout activities Perform scribe duties during team meetings for Process Hazards Analyses Prepare information packages for PHA, which requires the ability to selectively extract relevant information from a variety of on-site systems, including incident investigation and Management of Change (MOC) databases Prepare risk management monthly metrics. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma Experience working in a refinery or chemical environment, or in a process safety management organization and familiarity with standard process operation and associated equipment Experience with document management tools (Documentum, SharePoint, or similar) Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrate attention to detail & strong organizational skills Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team Ability to read/interpret key details from engineering documents Maintains a high level of personal integrity and ownership of job functions Able to record data and generate computer reports and process written records Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors degree Five plus years of experience working in a refinery or chemical environment, or in a process safety management organization and familiarity with standard process operation and associated equipment Knowledgeable in SharePoint site administration Prior experience scribing for risk assessments / PHAs Experience with Stature / PHA pro or other PHA software Experience supporting regulatory compliance activities for PSM, RMP, EPA Ability to read and understand basics of P&IDs Excellent data-mining skills and attention to detail Special Considerations: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
