Responsibilities
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Works under the supervision of the Physical Therapy Supervisor. The Staff Physical therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed therapy programs to help patients reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. All the criteria based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to the policies, procedures and guidelines and the Mission and Philosophy of Community Memorial Hospital.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure by the North Dakota State Examining Committee of Physical Therapists.
Experience: None required
Pay Range
$33.63 - $46.24 /hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates patients with good skill and accuracy. Sets up appropriate rehab program and attainable goals. Progress or advances programs effectively. Communicates home programs to patient with good understanding. Asks for help, if needed.
- Client Satisfaction: Clients are given adequate explanation of their injury/condition; Given an adequate explanation of the purpose of their treatment; Understand their treatment and rehabilitation goals; Are satisfied with the treatment they receive from the department.
- Documentation and Charges: Patient notes, certifications, re-certifications and treatment instructions are timely, complete, accurate and easy to follow; Notes are done in accordance with Quality Improvement documentation criteria; Patient charges accurately reflect the services, supplies and equipment provided to the patient; Patient notes and re-certifications are in place 100% of time.
- Work Organization and Planning: During periods of heavy workloads, demonstrates the ability to handle increased caseloads by improving personal efficiency and/or working outside regularly scheduled hours; Organizes and plans work activities at the earliest reasonable time; Uses time effectively. Completes projects on time and is prepared for and attends meeting on time; Offers to help staff with work when able to assist.
- Initiative: Works independently with no need for direct supervision; Active and effective team member; Actively seeks and accepts responsibility to lead and/or work a projects and assignments; Develops new programs and/or works with/follows physicians to stimulate referrals, develops relationships and improves quality of care; Willingly supervises students, teaches, classes and speaks publicly when the opportunity arises.
- Clinics: Willing to travel to satellite clinics; Cleans and maintains equipment and assures adequate supplies at clinics; Able to run clinic operation independently.
- Manages department when other P.T. manager/staff is unavailable. Effectively supervises department staff. Works out problems with staff and handles inter-departmental conflicts as they arise. Completes reports or assignments and hands them into Department Head at designated date. Assists with quality assurance and corporate compliance monitors.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.
