Responsibilities

What you will do:
- Provides for the assessment and evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of diagnostic testing ands responsible for communication to the physician of pertinent patient data
- Initiates and monitors overnight testing procedures in accordance with American Academy of Sleep Medicine
- Communicates a professional attitude with patients, visitors and other hospital personnel and practices strict ethical enforcement of protected medical and employee confidentiality
- Operates in full compliance with the organization’s safety program, responds to all emergency preparedness situations as appropriate, utilizes standard precaution and assures unit’s equipment is ready for safe operation, and participates in quality assurance programs as directed
- Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth, and fulfills yearly education requirements as stated by policy
- Scores sleep studies under the supervision of a RPSGT, RST or CPSGT
- Authorized to make entries in the electronic medical record, consistent with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable licensure
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management
Education/Licensure
What you need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- RPSGT certification within 2 years of hire
- Licensure for IA polysomnography within 2 years of hire
- BLS certification from American heart Association required upon hire
