What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drive-Thru Director position at Chick-fil-A?
Key Expectations: To create a drive-thru experience that is quick and accurate, but never rushed.
- Activate the Winning Hearts Strategy
- Lead and model our Mission, Vision and Values with team members and guests.
- Responsible for organization of the drive-thru area; including ipos equipment and clothing.
- Lead, train and support the 4 focus areas of the Winning Hearts Strategy: Clean & Safe Environment, Great Food, Fast & Accurate Service and Genuine Hospitality.
- Build a high-performance team, identifying and coaching leaders.
- Manage a team of 40 , supporting our vision, coaching and holding people accountable to high standards.
- Provides input on selection, orientation, scheduling and placement of team members (ipos, bagging, window, drinks and desserts, expediting).
- If we are open we are on IPOS.
- Create a quarterly drive thru business plan to execute operational excellence.
- Hold the drive-thru team accountable to all policy standards: timeliness, grooming, cell phones, uniforms.
- Oversee completion of drive thru team members 30 days and annual reviews.
- Set team goals, share the score visually and celebrate the wins.
- Increase profitability through implementing lean procedures to reduce costs, increase productivity, and manage the inventory process.
- Meet monthly budgetary expectations assigned by the General Manager.
- Maintain a clean work environment that ensures and promotes food & team safety.
- Report all Sedgwick claims to the General Manager within 24 hours .
- Increase overall restaurant results, working cross-functionally with other department leaders through attending weekly meetings and setting high-level collaborative goals.
- Execution of daily waste on Q-tally.
- Record transfers into the manager computer.
- Drive Thru Director and/or Leadership Team responsible for notifying the General Manager/ Admin Coordinator within 24 hours of any equipment or facility repairs.
- Track monthly drive-thru specific CEM scores on the Winning Hearts Tracker and create action plans to improve areas of opportunity.
- Oversee all cash handling processes including: counting drawers/deposit drops, change fund counts, and open/mid/close counts.
- Complete the Drive-Thru Experience Evaluation form monthly evaluating where the largest opportunity for improvement is.
- Ensure at least one team member in the Drive-Thru wears a panic lanyard at all times.
