Overall Responsibilities:
As a Catering Sales Director (CSD), responsibilities include:
- Identifying catering opportunities and following up on potential catering guests through phone calls and visits.
- Leveraging established corporate partnerships and relationships to drive catering sales.
- Making sales and securing agreements with catering customers.
- Confirming orders on the day of the event.
- Ensuring Team Members deliver a remarkable pickup and/or delivery guest experience.
- Following up with guests for feedback and to inquire about their recent experience.
- Ensuring Team Members are properly trained using Pathway.
- Adding value to catered events by providing a Cow mascot appearance, offering the Chick-fil-A tent for outdoor special events, and decorating with Mini Plush Cows, branded mints, and balloons.
- Creating and managing a database of catering customers.
In-Restaurant Responsibilities:
- Work closely with operations and kitchen staff to ensure the restaurant has all the necessary food and paper goods for upcoming catering orders.
- Ensure the catering equipment and area in the restaurant are clean and organized.
- Create and maintain documentation for all restaurant catering procedures.
- Develop a training program for new Team Leaders and Team Members involved in catering.
- Continuously evaluate customer experiences and communicate operational improvement ideas to the Operator.
In-Community Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with local community members and serve as an ambassador for the Chick-fil-A brand.
- Maintain and grow existing catering relationships by surprising guests at work with their favorite Chick-fil-A menu items and sending handwritten thank-you notes.
- Distribute marketing materials to potential catering customers to increase awareness of Chick-fil-A Catering.
