Account Manager - MI

Job Title: Account Manager - Illinois and Michigan Territory
Department: Sales
Reports To: Director of Bosch Connector Sales
FLSA Status: Exempt
Customary Days: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

It is integral to the success of company operations that all employees exhibit a collective/common ability to understand and work within the Quality Policy, procedures and instructions of Chief Enterprises, as well as the motivation to continuously improve, better satisfy the needs of our customers and deliver to them on time every time, defect free products and services.

Position The Account Manager is responsible for all sales activities from lead
Summary generation through close in Illinois and Iowa. The position is best filled by someone currently in a Sales role, or by an Engineer who has interest in new career opportunities.

This role involves implementing the agreed upon sales plan, and expanding customers and opportunities in an assigned territory. In addition, this individual will collaborate with various departments to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with Chief’s vision and values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships with strategic Engineering, Technical and Purchasing decision makers at prospective and current clients, and ensures we are involved early in the product design cycle.
  • Provides technical presentations and solutions to key decision makers, and helps troubleshoot questions and issues.
  • Follows-up on leads, opportunities and quotations in a timely fashion and properly maintains this information in NetSuite.
  • Maintains necessary knowledge and understanding of pricing, products and proposal models.
  • Works with global planning and manufacturing locations to support activities related to customer shipments and customer-related transactions.
  • Develops strategies for maintaining and developing complex accounts which may include international coordination.
  • Works directly with internal Customer Service, Sales and Engineering resources to create and deliver customer-specific proposals and solutions.
  • Provides competitive feedback and new product ideas to management.
  • Maximizes all options in the process of closing a sale including, negotiation, sale of other products, and obtaining additional business.
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records in NetSuite of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Minimum of four years sales experience related to connector assemblies, harness assemblies or closely related electrical components.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle, customer relationship management and market dynamics.

● Familiarity with ERP (specifically NetSuite) systems.
● Proficient with Google operating system and applications.

● Willingness to travel up to 75-80% of the time for sales and customer calls in North America regularly; international travel may be required on occasion.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
