Job Purpose:
This position works to increase the safety and security of the visitation environment for victims of family violence so that project participants may re-establish or maintain a healthy, non-violent relationship between their children and the non-custodial parent. The goals of the supervised visitation and exchange program are to protect the children’s safety and the safety of the custodial parent, while providing for meaningful visitation.
This is a part-time position requiring nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously observes the visitation center and surrounding area keeping accurate record of the arrivals and departures of visitors.
- Search all visitor baggage including pocketbooks, purses, diaper bags, presents/gifts, backpacks, etc. upon arrival.
- Wand clients using CHILD Inc. equipment.
- Confiscate and/or direct participants to return any items prohibited by the Visitation Center to their vehicle.
Education, Experience, Skills & Other Requirements:
- Possession of an associate degree in the Behavior Sciences; or coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least 12 semester hours completed or any equivalent combination of acceptable education, training, and experience which shall have provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities cited below.
- Basic knowledge of human behavior and human problem-solving.
- At least 21 years of age.
