Summary:
The Behavior Analyst will conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop behavior support plans for children and youth in the surrounding communities. This position will work closely with interdisciplinary teams throughout assessment and interventions, including parents, guardians, social workers, and school staff. The Behavior Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the behavior assessment, programming, and reporting process are carried out in a positive, professional manner, including utilizing dignity and respect when working with individuals with developmental disabilities, effectively advocating for youth and families in achieving desired behavioral outcomes, and complies with all applicable licensing rules, by regulatory entities, and accreditation standards.
In-Home Support Services opened in 2019 with the mission of improving the quality of life for youth with cognitive challenges and extraordinary behavioral needs. IHSS provides services to clients in La Crosse, Jackson, Monroe, Trempealeau and Vernon counties.
Education Requirements: Master's degree in an area of behavior science (psychology, education, etc.) required. Dually licensed as Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) required.
Information:
- Full-Time, salaried position, Monday-Friday schedule with flexible hours including nights and early mornings, weekends as needed
- Paid learning opportunities and possibilities for advancement
- Work is generally performed within an office environment. There is frequent interaction with students and residents in residential homes, classrooms, and throughout the education building. Frequent interaction with families, referring agencies, school districts, and community members as well.
- Travel is required for this position as the Behavior Analyst will be assigned to work with children and youth in the surrounding communities and school districts.
Must possess:
- Sound knowledge of developmental disabilities, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder, cognitive challenges and interfering behaviors, and the potential familial issues that arise when a child has exceptional needs
- Minimum of two years of work experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and attachment challenges is preferred
- Have an in-depth understanding of evidence-based practices to improve social skills and decrease interfering behaviors
- Knowledge of and ability to train and implement Behavior Support Plans and Treatment Plan goals
- Intermediate computer skills to learn and operate software programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently, time management skills & reliable work ethic
- Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance

Job Duties:
- Take referrals and schedule intake meetings as directed by the Behavior Analyst
- Maintain a minimum of 110 billable hours per month.
- Attend meetings with county workers and parents for clients on your caseload.
- Develop a functional behavior assessments and daily living skills plans
- Develop behavior support plans using evidence base approaches
- Train staff and caregivers on behavior plan and treatment plan implementation
- Provide family and caregiver training and coaching.
- Conduct and document supervision for those seeking BCBA certification, BCaBA certification, and RBT certification, as needed
