Primary Responsibilities
We are hiring for machine operators (pourers) to manufacture cold chain insulated parcel shippers our of two-part polyurethane reporting to Production/Operations Supervisor.
- Set up, operate, and maintain machinery used to manufacture two-part polyurethane insulated shippers used for shipping temperature-sensitive products
- Ability to follow all safety procedures, periodic maintenance, including emergency shut down procedures
- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions and adjust when necessary to improve performance
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance
- Perform quality control, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
- Comply with all safety and health regulations
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
- Ability to understand material handling procedures
Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Preferred to have ability to lift 34-40 pounds, but not required
- Excellent team worker and work at a quick pace
- Excellent follow-up abilities, time-management, and multi-tasking skills
- Must have strong attention to detail (detail oriented)
- Quick learner with the ability to think things through and implement actions confidently
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience
- Understanding of production and plant processes
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
Position can grow into a long-term career. Past supervisory experience in production or operations a plus.
Job Type: Full-time, 1st shift (7:30pm to 4pm).
