What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist Recruiter position at Choices CCS?
The Recruiter partners with others across the department and organization to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. The incumbent works closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the hiring needs for each position and assists in meeting competitive hiring goals and expectations. The incumbent manages the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles. The Recruiter stays abreast of recruitment trends and utilizes technology and networks to identify diverse talent. The incumbent will support and uphold a commitment to racial and ethnic equity and antiracism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Utilizes social media, job boards, career fairs, and advertising to source talent.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Responds to employment verifications.
- Participates in company HR projects and research.
- Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources.
- Knowledge and understanding of employment law and general Human Resource practices. HR Certification preferred.
- Experience using HRIS/ATS systems.
- Access to reliable transportation. Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and auto insurance.
