Market Manager In Training (MMIT)
The Market Manager In Training (MMIT) job is a development focused role that is crafted to prepare you for a Navigator and or Ambassador Market Manager position.
The MMIT program is designed to enhance your career as a future leader. We support your development towards the market manager role by participating in a collaborative training over the span of 6 weeks.
We provide both virtual and hands-on learning experiences to develop you as a leader. Our team of people that support your growth toward your leadership career include: your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Market Manager, and your Market Manager Manager coach.
Some of the skills needed for this role are:
- Communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support market growth.
- Manage the market inventory and assets to maintain longevity.

- Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support you on your path to promotion during the structured program.
- Support your market manager as a management team member and lead in a manner that is consistent with Choosy values and policies.
- Engage your colleagues in support of the company's purpose of "helping people on their path to help others."
- Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market that you work in.
Selection for the MMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Market Manager position. Whether and when you are actually promoted to Market Manager is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to performance and availability of openings.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to accept a promotion to Market Manager role at any and or all locations in the designated market.
- Ability to transfer or manage to other sites located within the designated market.
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Retail management experience, or experience as a Supervisor
- Bilingual
Business Overview
Work with local businesses and township or city officials to maintain distribution and education centers for the Emergency Broadband Benefit program. You will manage volunteers, employees and or contractors, as well as inventory of mobile devices including but not limited to tablets, smartphones and wifi hotspots. Ensure consistent productivity with a focus on educating potential beneficiaries. Maintain quality control of the efforts, including but not limited to, community interactions, enrollment processes, cleanliness and professionalism of all distribution sites, and reporting systems. This is not a short-term project and has potential for regional and national growth, compensation is negotiable however, it may include salary, hourly and/or bonuses. Immediate start, full training provided for the right candidate.
