Description
Must have training and education in health service administration (CNA, LPN or RN) and at least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in Healthcare program.
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administers performing the following:
Receives information requests from family members, doctors, and outside facilities and makes appropriate referrals or assignments.
Ensures that client care is provided according to all relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
Consults with clients, family members and others to assure all client’s needs are identified.
Ensures that each client’s care needs are met with appropriate staff and staffing schedules.
Ensures that there is a quarterly review of each client’s plan of care by a registered nurse.
Discusses any concerns, makes accommodations and provides information to appropriate supervisory personnel.
Acts as liaison between staff, clients, families, Physicians and Christ the King Manor administration.
Enhances business development and continuing improvement of Christ the King at Home efficiency and fiscal success.
Maintains adequate staffing to meet the needs of the clients by performing the following:
Schedules interviews and verifies information of applicants for position.
Assures that all regulations and requirements are met for each newly hired employee including: current physical examination, two-step PPD, criminal history investigation report, new hire reports and so forth.
Completes the appropriate paperwork with the employee in a timely manner and submits to the Director of Human Resources for placement in the personnel file.
Reviews other pertinent information including policies and procedures, state and/or federal requirements/records, daily client records, payroll slips and so forth.
Provides orientation and training for all staff to assure their competency in providing safe, quality care to their clients.
Approves and schedules vacations and other time off requests. Finds replacement staff to cover call offs.
Monitors employee work performance and takes appropriate action when warranted.
Complete Probationary Period Progress Reports and annual performance appraisals for each employee in a timely manner.
Keeps all staff informed of policies and procedures effecting the department and creates an atmosphere in which upward communication is encouraged.
Assures that all staff receives at least 12 hours per year of appropriate in-service training.
Maintains appropriate records by completing the following:
Establishes and maintains current, accurate and confidential files for each client that include the initial assessment, plan of care, updates, daily care records, unit charges and so forth.
Maintains client records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Maintains required employee payroll records to assure accurate pay for staff including mileage, hours worked, benefit time and so forth.
Enters all payroll information in payroll system and informs the Payroll Clerk of all relevant information.
Coordinates community resources and supports by:
Advocates for additional services and resources as required.
Informs clients, families and support systems about the program and coordinates all professional activities.
Works to promote positive public relations.
