Responsibilities :
- Compiles and records cable data from documents such as customer orders, work orders, and product specifications.
- Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, and amount of scrap.
- Creates cable reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed.
- Maintains files of documents used and prepared.
- Prepares documentation for cable shipments, including labels, itemization forms, declaration forms, and shipping log.
- Performs cycle counts and maintains accurate inventory controls.
- Tracks work order status and work-in-process throughout the operation.
- Maintains open work order file.
- Opens and closes work orders according to system requirements.
- Other duties as assigned through identified and established process improvements
Requirements : General education.
General education.
- Two years related experience, including shop floor controls, inventory management, cycle counting, and production planning.
- Thorough working knowledge of Excel, Word, and JD Edwards.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply mathematical concepts.
