Design and development of test processes, programs, and fixtures in order to ensure tests are conducted in accordance with customer requirements and defined specifications.
- Works closely with design engineering to design and fabricate test fixtures. Verifies proper operation of test fixtures.
- Determines necessary test requirements on final units. Coordinates testing requirements on electrical control panels. Coordinates testing requirements with design engineering.
- Writes detailed test procedures and work instructions to be followed for testing and maintains procedures in an accurate manner.
- Develops software for test systems. Responsible for documentation of software and revision control. Conducts training for Test Technicians in the proper use of test systems.
- Assists with the justification of new testing methods and equipment. Evaluates new technology for possible utilization in the test program.
Required Experience
- B.S. degree in appropriate science or engineering (electrical engineering preferred), with two to four years relevant experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical test methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to logically define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
