Responsibilities:
- Under clinician's supervision, performs or assists with patient assessments and treatment or diagnostic procedures.
- Performs various clerical duties that ensure a smooth and efficient office flow and patient satisfation.
- Adheres to Mercy Medical Center/department policies and procedures and JCAHO/regulatory agency requirements.
- Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year's experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology. Computer literate.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, clinicians and members of staff.
- Medical billing knowledge preferred.
- NYS Certified Medical Assistant required.
