Job Posting for General Manager at Ciccio Napa Valley
The General Manager of Ciccio will select and lead a team of dedicated service professionals. A successful General Manager will be punctual, versatile, polished and possess strong communication skills. This position will report directly to Chef/Partner, Christopher and Martina Kostow, and will work closely with Chef Kostow’s Director of Operations. The General Manager will directly oversee all operations associated to Front of the House and directly oversee the Dining Room and its staff. The General Manager will lead the team on the floor, create lasting relationships with guests and our purveyors and be a spokesperson for Ciccio in our community.
General Manager Tasks & Responsibilities:
Service: 70%; Administrative: 30%
General Qualifications
Candidates must have minimum of 2 years experience in front of house management
The ability to drive and provide daily oversight of financial results without compromise of our quality standards
Previous experience in high volume, casual fine dining environments grossing $3M annually
Develop strategies to lead and inspire a team of service professionals focused on creating great lasting memories for our guests
Must have a strong background in wine and wine service standards, with a strong depth of knowledge in California.
Operations experience in positions of Maître d’, Bar Operations, Sommelier, and Service Director/Manager
Ability to lead and mentor a motivated floor staff
Maintaining and constantly Improving our SOPs – includingwritten revisions when necessary
Engaging with other leaders on ways to enhance our training programs and our culture of empowerment
Achieve company objectives in sales, cost management,service, and quality
Service
Accountable for the oversight of day-to-day operations, cleanliness, and organization in all areas of the restaurant
Train, coach and manage all line-level & management staff;leading by example on the floor and in the office
The General Manager will be highly visible during service and will be eager to forge lasting relationships with our guests
Financial
Possess a command over Payroll functions and processes
Commanding and being held accountable to monthly G/L and P&L review is paramount
Directly overseeing and being held accountable for all restaurant Controllable Budgets, including R&M; FOH Labor Cost
Working closely with the Ciccio Chef on Kitchen related COGS and R&M forecasting
Basic working knowledge of California Human Resources compliance
Administrative
Responsible for authoring all FOH scheduling
Responsible for oversight over Events Program
Directly responsible for all aspects of hiring, executing New Hire Paperwork (NHP) onboarding, employment termination, bi-weekly payroll, recociling tip share/distributions, etc
Scheduling and implementing employee reviews for all FOH management and hourly staff including training schedules and timely progress evaluations
Directly responsible for all aspects of reservations management; Resy templating, formatting, communication, and implementation
Product organization, ordering and sourcing
Provides direct Administrative support to Kitchen Management: compiling and disseminating information to Front of House and Kitchen line-level personnel
