Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, including hospitals and occupational health environments. This position offers the opportunity to utilize a wide range of nursing skills and provide high-quality patient care.
A minimum of one year of acute care RN experience (Medical/Surgical, ER, ICU), an annual TB test and CPR certification is required.
Responsibilities:
- assessing inmate and staff medical complaints
- taking off (noting) MD orders and prescriptions, entering lab work and creating requisitions
- administering medications
- end of shift narcotics, sharps and tool counts
- emergency sick call and emergency medical responses, utilize AED
- proficient with computers, Microsoft programs, and able to learn a DOS based program
- vaccinations
- wound care
- diabetic care
- inmate health teaching and evaluation
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $44.42 - $65.00 per hour

Experience:
- Healthcare: 7 years (Required)

- BLS Certification (Preferred)
