Job Summary:
To ensure that repair jobs meet the requirements of the customer as defined by the customer's purchase order, the customers scope of work, and/or the customer's special instructions. Describe current / “As Found” conditions in ValvKeep and make recommendation to the Service Coordinator, for needed repairs to customer owned equipment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Measure Critical Dimensions
- Assess and Inspect ALL parts
- Locate and properly read OEM part supplements, to properly locate replacement parts.
- Read and interpret diagnostic graphs;
- ValvKeep data entry, reporting and analysis as required
- Read drawings of various valve parts;
- Pull and inspect all parts;
- Successfully complete Non-destructive testing Certification and training;
- Efficient utilization of precision machinist tools.
- Efficient utilization Quality tools such as Positive Material Identification (PMI) machine, Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges, Paint Thickness Gauges, etc.
- Learn metallurgy regarding ASTM codes and material numbers for the type of materials we work with and work with personnel to use the codes in the normal routine of work processes
- Learn all Quality Procedures (QP) and Work Instructions (WI). At a minimum, be aware what QP and WI covers any given issue in the Production process
- Learn the production processes and company work flow including Inside Sales, Services Coordinators, Customer Service Representatives, Order Entry, and Shipping & Receiving
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education & Experience
- HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus
- TWIC card
- GTC Level III
- MARC Level I
- OSHA certified
- Skills & Ablities
- Be knowledgeable of company quality procedures
- Be knowledgeable in valve testing standards
- Be knowledgeable in the ASME and National Board standards
- Basic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledge
- Recognize major valve types and components; at a minimum be familiar with OEM parts and Part Numbers
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Safety and Quality-minded
- Basic mechanic knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Google
- Sales oriented
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
Essential Physical Functions:
- Lifting: up to 50 pounds
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
- Lift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feet
- Bending, stooping, walking and climbing stairs
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

- Able to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
