Position Summary
This position reports to the Director of Wholesale Fuels Services – North America
Location: The position will work out of the Corona Office
About Circle K:
Circle K Stores are owned by Alimentation Couche-Tard, one of the largest convenience store operators in North America. Circle K has grown its retail & wholesale network through a series of acquisitions and new to industry builds. Currently, Circle K has approximately 10,000 stores in North America (primarily in the United States and Canada), 2,697 stores in Europe, and an additional 2,380 stores operating under franchise agreements worldwide and 400 stores within our wholesale fuels network.
Internship duties and responsibilities
The position will work on various projects that relate to wholesale development, including research and lead generation, participate in customer events, audit accounts payable and provide other administrative support. The intern will gain valuable insight into the company and the industry, learn about development, sales, and other core company initiatives.
Requirements and qualifications
The intern should be currently enrolled in college with a business or related field. Understanding of basic Microsoft Office products. Must be able to learn and teach new software applications. Well organized and possess ability to handle multiple responsibilities under constant deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Must possess well developed verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills.
All equipment required for position will be provided.
The candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week when school is not in session with a potential to extend internship during school semester at least 16-20 hours per week.
Benefits of the Internship
The position pays $15 an hour. Strong performance during internship could lead to full time employment after graduation but is not guaranteed.
Schedule and duration
The intern would begin at an agreed upon date and end at a date in the future decided by the employer but possibly leading up to intern’s graduation. The internship hire may continue until they are able to work full time if agreed upon mutually by both parties.
