Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market is seeking Pizza Makers to join our growing company! Our reputable pizza counter is one of our most popular and busiest service counters and requires a passionate, dedicated individual with the ability to learn quickly and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare, cut, and slice all products for pizza counter items.
- Prepare garlic knots, gourmet pizzas, strombolis, calzones, pinwheels and various other items
- Measure, weigh, and use recipes to maintain production of consistent and quality products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with orders and answering any questions they may have.
- Knowledge of food cooking times, temperature control, and other food safety requirements.
- Additional responsibilities as necessary
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of 1 years’ food preparation and food handling experience
- Can work flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Work dynamically with a team and take direction from management
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and DOA standards
- Must be able to meet physical demands of position including: standing for extended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, carrying up to 50 pounds, etc.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced food and/or retail environment
- Previous pizza making experience in a retail/restaurant environment
- Knowledge of a variety of styles of pizzas and different preparation methods
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
