Job Description:
This role will report to and support the CGWI Global Head of Alternative Investments, and serve as an integral member of the Alternative Investments leadership team. The Global Head of Alternative Investments Sales will manage a global team of professionals responsible for the education, coordination, and distribution of private equity, real estate, and hedge fund products across Citi Global Wealth channels (Citi Private Bank, Professional Services Group, and Global Consumer Bank). This role will require an individual with Alternative Investments knowledge, exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills, and strong sales experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic
- Key partner to the CGWI Global Head of Alternative Investments, the Alternative Investments leadership team, and regional management – helping shape strategic decisions, prioritize current initiatives, coordinate feedback from regional sales teams, and deliver on sales strategy
- Manage and coordinate best practices across team of global sales professionals located in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia regions
- Prioritize key initiatives by region and channel (Citi Private Bank, Professional Services, and Global Consumer) to ensure appropriate product focus
- Work with global and regional management and finance on monthly basis to assess business plan progress
- Build relationships across Citi Global Wealth channels to help drive strategic agenda and ensure flow of information
- Provide a feedback loop for Alternatives Research and Product teams to ensure thoughtful thematic focus and product offerings meet client needs

Day to Day
- Demand Assessment – understand Alternatives pipeline opportunities in detail and implement demand assessment process by region and channel to help determine interest levels
- Education & Training – intimately understand the current Alternatives offerings; partner with Alternatives Research and Product teams to schedule and lead internal training sessions (regional and global); ensure adequate IC and banker participation and follow-up as needed
- Pipeline Management – identify target clients and implement proactive approach for each Alternative Investment offering; methodically track calling efforts (internal and external) for target clients, identify and close calling effort gaps, aggregate feedback, track sales, and revert to the relevant regional research teams to ensure feedback loop
- Roadshow Management – work with ICs and bankers to schedule and effect in person and/or digital meetings; ensure effective use of time, conveyance of messaging, and aggregation of feedback
- Coordination – maintain consistent dialogue with Alternatives Research and Product teams to ensure synchronization and best efforts during offering/launch periods
- Ongoing Activities – base level knowledge of current investment themes and existing platform performance to help ensure consistent and timely internal and external messaging and updates
- Ensure Best Practices - work with Alternatives Research and Product teams to develop and enhance internal and external presentations & marketing materials for offerings; ensure regional needs are met with global consistency and sharing of best practices
Qualifications:
- Location: New York, London, Hong Kong
- BS/BA in finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
- 15 years of relevant work experience
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude among fast-changing environment and priorities
- Demonstrable Alternative Investments sales experience
- Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong presentation skills in both small and large settings
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to travel
