The Associate Banker SAFE Act is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub-function/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate documentation related to KYC/ AML received from the client and ensure all aspects of client records and documentation are completed and updated. Including periodic reviews and other KYC/AML items and reviews required by the Firm are kept up to date.
- Provide complete service support to client, including solving complex client inquiries
- Provide day to day support to Banker on documentation such as account opening and closing, loan disbursals, etc.
- Client/prospect meetings - Organize the pre-call planning, organizing post-meeting notes, and maintain all client call records including call reports
- Assist the Banker in profiling, qualifying and converting prospects into Citi Private Bank clients.
- Assist the Banker in deepening the existing client relationship through deep-dive analysis
- Assist the Banker in the creation of sales and marketing strategies designed to generate revenue growth and to acquire new target clients, with a focus on Investments.
- Provide accurate and timely revenue tracking and deal pipeline reports and other relevant information to the Banker
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge or familiarity of investments needed and banking and credit products desirable.
- Ability to manage and establish relationships both internal and external: partner effectively with clients and various internal groups including sales, service, operations, compliance and marketing.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to escalate issues to management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly organized, problem solving, team-work, and analytical skills.
- Ability to think logically and critically about client needs and generate create solutions when required.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to set high standards of meeting deliverables.
- Proven ability to learn on the job and comfortable working in an environment where the policies and procedures change regularly.
- Comfortable working in an undefined environment with minimal or offsite supervision.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- FINRA Securities Licenses: Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65)
