JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE
As a Teller you will provide excellent banking service to clients in a professional and courteous manner, maintain a basic understanding of our banking products and services, accurately and efficiently process client transactions and fully comply with company and departmental policies and regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position performs the following duties, including but not limited to;
Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions.
Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts and loan payments, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement as needed, and enters deposits and loan payments into computer records.
Processes credit card transactions.
Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amount to computer-generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
Assists with bank-by-mail and night depository functions, as necessary.
Works assigned days and other days as required for adequate branch staffing.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High-school diploma or high school student working toward diploma
Six months to one year of cash handling experience in a customer-service environment, preferred but not required.
Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Good computer skills including all Microsoft Office products
Flexibility to work a schedule that changes weekly
Able to stand or sit for extended periods while conducting customer transactions
