Job Description
The Sales Development Representative facilitates leads by reaching out to CPB brands unaware or unfamiliar with AD Retail Media offerings and show casing the benefits of how we can build CPG (Consumer Packaging Goods) unit sales and growth across the Great Local Brands.
As the first line of communication with potential prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of a customer first sales process and excels at researching leads, building new relationships, and setting our sales team (trusted advisors) up for success. The SDR should be a person who enjoys building business relationships from the ground up. This person has effective communication skills and an ability to highlight and position our capabilities in a compelling way that meets the needs of the CPGs (Consumer Packaging Goods). This role turns new business into long term partnerships by boosting top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
Job Duties
Represent the leading CPGs sold within our Great Local Brands using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs
Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities
Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook
Utilize Outreach, Salesforce, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities
Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services
Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
Report to head of sales with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results
Knowledge
Proficiency in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
Sales, marketing, or customer service background.
Knowledge of prospecting and sales techniques.
Proven success working in a fast-paced environment
Skills/Qualifications/Abilities
Two or more years of experience in sales, with a record of accomplishment of exceeding lead targets
Effective communication skills via phone and email
Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
Powerful desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
Dynamic and engaging communicator
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least five years of relevant work experience
Experience
Experience as a sales development representative, with a record of accomplishment of achieving sales quotas
Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software / Proficiency with Outreach
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Solution oriented mindset / Analytical thinker
Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to adverse situations
