Summary Description
Makes collection calls to loan and deposit customers who are delinquent in payment.
Essential Functions
- Identify delinquent accounts that are assigned and make collection calls to customers
- Prepare, contact and manage assigned accounts
- Problem solve with delinquent customers
- Follow all collections laws (state and federal) and guidelines
- Process extension requests, Right To Cure letters, maintenance requests, Fresh Start Loans and exercise right of offset requests
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
Critical Skills / Expertise
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages
- Ability to write short correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to interact within a team environment
- Knowledge of state and federal laws concerning collections
- Ability to work well under pressure
