Position Summary
Reporting to the Communications Director, the Web and Graphics Coordinator will coordinate and manage the City's website to ensure that the content and presentation is current, optimally serves the public, meets accessibility standards and that key messages and graphics are consistent across a large number of department and program-specific pages. The Web and Graphics Coordinator will work with City of Bend departments to review existing pages, navigation, and strategy for web content to assure a cohesive editorial voice for the City of Bend web pages. The Web and Graphics Coordinator will make edits on existing pages, assist with monitoring site traffic levels and update content as is becomes available.

Duties And Responsibilities
The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities.
- Assist the current Web and Graphics Coordinator with the operation and governance of the City's website, including incorporating new technologies, enhancing the public's web experience, and working with departments to incorporate their individual content in a cohesive and consistent style.
- Coordinates training activities for departmental web editors, ensuring that new web editors are sufficiently trained and facilitates regular training opportunities for all web editors.
- Serves as a line of support for web editors from all departments so they can post, edit and update online content.
- Coordinates web functions, monitors web activities, performs regular analysis and website analytics and implements search engine optimization.
- Coordinates with IT to escalate issues with the website to the vendor. Manages support issues with the vendor to ensure effective resolutions.
- Coordinates with the Accessibility Manager to ensure that Americans with Disabilities Act regulations are known and addressed in online and visual communications.
- In an emergency event or an officially declared State of Emergency, responds as directed to ensure the restoration of essential public services, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Performs related duties as necessary to achieve the objectives of the position.

Education, Experience, Certifications and/or Licenses
Minimum Qualifications
The following are the qualifications for this position.
- Minimum requirement of an Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate or at least four years of relevant work experience in communications, marketing, and/or graphic design.
- Minimum two years of experience in graphic design and online content management is required.
- This position requires the ability to analyze and implement best practices for the optimal customer web experience.
- Current and valid Driver's license per City policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have experience with both web and print design.
