High school education or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of and ability to properly operate trucks and heavy/light equipment used by the department.
Knowledge of standard practices and procedures involved in street maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of all applicable safety precautions, and ability to apply such knowledge to daily operations.
Knowledge of the mechanics of light equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle. Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL-B with air brakes) within probationary period.
Ability to work overtime, as needed.
