We are looking for individuals who are willing and able to work as a team with one common goal to create the best program experience for each and every participant in our care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The Youth Ministry support staff “YMSS” will act in a support role to the Youth Minster, assisting with the planning, organization and implementation of youth ministry games and activities. The YMSS will work with theYouth Minister supervising, monitoring, and participating in all activities including, field trips, arts and crafts, sports and games. While doing so, YMSS are expected to serve as an appropriate role model for the children under their care. Major Responsibilities: • Participate in team trainings, meetings and debriefings.. • Work with the Youth Minister and program staff to organize and conduct classes, prepare lesson plans and lead classes. • Assist teaching or leading activities as assigned • Work with other YMSS’s to develop and perform in assemblies and skits. • Assist the Youth Minister in the guidance of individual participants and groups in participating in all youth ministry activities • Set a good example for participants and others including cleanliness, punctuality, sharing clean-up responsibilities, and good sportsmanship. Willing to assist with our CYO basketball program.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience working with children in a structured environment of some capacity desired. Other qualifications or skills: • Must be 14 years of age or older by September 1st • Ability to relate with one’s peer group • Ability to accept supervision and guidance • Ability to assist in teaching activities • Ability to assist in music activities • Ability to devise and plan games and activities. • Good integrity, character, attitude and adaptability • Enthusiasm, sense of humor patience and self-control
