Clinical supervisor of social services programming.
Essential Job Functions
- Plan, lead, and evaluate the work of social services staff. Provide and coordinate staff development and training.
- Supervise, support and engage program staff; ensure that social services programming is of high quality.
- Plan, implement, promote, and administer all social service programs in order to improve the health, safety, and well-being of community members.
- Develop, implement, administer and evaluate social services programming, including the development and maintenance of protocols.
- Seek funding for the expansion and support of existing programs.
- Conduct interviews with news media and provide community outreach and education regarding the Public Health and Human Services department and related issues and policies.
- Provide contract monitoring and compliance.
- Perform program evaluation, data analysis, and financial review of social service programs.
- Develop and administer data management systems.
- Review and approve documentation and plans of care developed by staff.
- Responsible for directing, hiring, and disciplining employees.
- Accountable for conducting performance evaluations and making recommendations for dismissing employees.
- Evaluate the clinical interventions of staff.
- Determine eligibility criteria for social services programming.
Ancillary Job Functions
- Participate in department management team and all related activities, including strategic planning and accreditation.
- Participate in and inform community collaborations seeking to improve system level performance and individual outcomes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience - An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
- Master’s degree in social work.
- Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Missouri.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience including previous supervisory experience.
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be registered with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry.
- Must complete and submit an official Columbia Police Dept. background questionnaire and pass extensive back ground investigation; no serious criminal record (determined by nature of violation).

- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of social work, including ethics, case management, documentation, confidentiality, and crisis intervention, as well as the ability to apply these practices in both supervisory and direct service roles.
- Extensive knowledge of health and human services resources.
- Extensive knowledge of local/state/federal assistance programs.
- Ability to develop, implement, administer, and evaluate social services programming, including the development and maintenance of protocols.
- Ability to both supervise and provide all social services programming including, but not limited to: clinical mental health series, case management, home visitation, screening/assessments, crisis interventions, eligibility documentation and information and referral.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
- Ability to plan, lead, and evaluate the work of staff.

- General office conditions. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
