As the Senior Civil Engineer, you will oversee the review of submitted development projects. You’ll complete tasks independently—reviewing, preparing, and managing designs—and lead collaborative efforts with developers, contractors, engineers, and the public. Reporting to and working under broad guidelines set by the City Engineer and Public Works Director, you will support department staff, conduct engineering studies and contribute to the overall development review process.

What You’ll Do in This Role:
Review civil engineering plans, designs, specifications, reports, permits, and traffic studies
Collaborate and confer with developers, contractors, engineers and the public
Provide guidance and support to other engineering staff
Maintain technical civil engineering records and policies
Conduct engineering and traffic studies
You Have:
6 years of civil engineering experience
1 year of construction project management experience
Certificate of Professional Engineering (PE) in the State of Colorado
Knowledge of water, sewer, drainage, and stormwater design and grading techniques
Experience in modern engineering equipment, including AutoCad and GIS
Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations, including CDHPE or MHFD requirements or design guidance
*Previous experience in Transportation Engineering and Public Works will contribute to your success in this role but is not required.
