What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Analyst - Part time position at City of Fond du Lac, WI?
Various duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: sample setup and analysis including total phosphorus, total suspended solids, ammonia, BOD, fecal coliform, nitrates, alkalinity, volatile acids, transmittance, and pH; laboratory maintenance, including but not limited to instrument calibration(s), limit(s) of detection and quantitation, lab inventory, bench sheet preparation, solution prep and standardization and writing and revising SOP’s as applicable; analysis, entry, organization and maintenance of all data obtained along with mathematical calculations on all data generated; plant and industrial sampling including confined space entry; gas detector maintenance; software management and training of Hach/WIMS data entry software; completing DMR and Sludge Reports.
Requirements include graduation from a four-year college program in chemistry or related science, with two -five years' of chemical lab experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications, CPR/First Aid certified, confined space certified, current wastewater operator license, and continued education through the DNR and WWOA training sessions is desirable. Scheduled hours include rotating weekend work and rotating holidays.

Pay: $25.63 - $29.29 per hour
