EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Investigates incidents and offenses by contacting complainants; taking written or verbal statements; contacting witnesses; gathering other pertinent information; initiating offense/incident reports; and distributing information to law enforcement entities and the public.Assists with the preparation of court cases. Testifies in court. Collaborates with other agencies. Maintains files and records.Provides support, assistance, and advocacy to victims and family members.Trains law enforcement personnel by preparing and scheduling classes; and making presentations.Completes various reports and paperwork. Collects data and statistics. Enters data into the computer. Maintains databases and files. Sharing information with other departments and certifying documents and statements as a Notary.All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
