Hiring Salary Range: $40,267.00 - $53,689.00 Full Salary Range: $40,267. - $67,112.00
The Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts is recruiting for the Associate Box Office Manager position. This is a management-level position in the ticket office operation's division that will work with the Box Office Manager to oversee the complex nature of computerized ticketing by programming and building events within Ticketmaster Host, Account Manager, Archtics, or similar computer programs the Performing Arts Center may utilize to sell tickets. The selected candidate will need to be knowledgeable in building General Admission (GA) events including pre-event dinners, parking passes, and Club admissions as well as reserved seated events including Broadway, concerts, family shows, Symphony, and other unique ticketed events that are applicable to a Performing Arts Center. This position will oversee various aspects of the box office operation including oversight of a staff person and the 30 person ticket seller roster staff. This person, as assigned by the Box Office Manager, will provide specific computer skills to build complicated ticketed events that are unique to the venue, hold appropriate seats, build price level qualifiers, email discount codes, CAD files of events and interact with promoters to staff and settle assigned events assigned. The successful candidate will also assist with the training staff, scheduling staff, vault operations, daily receipts, and general box office duties as assigned by the Box Office Manager. This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- "OR" an Associates Degree and 8 years of directly related experience in a box office supervisory/management role
- "OR" a High School Diploma and 10 years of "directly: related experience working in a box office supervisory/management role
- "OR" an Associates Degree and 8 years of directly related experience in a box office supervisory/management role
- 4 to 6 years of experience working in a box office supervisory/management role.
- Must be proficient with computers and the MS Office program
- Must have 2 years of Ticketmaster Host, TMOne, and Archtics experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a sports/entertainment venue.
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Accounting, Sports/Entertainment Management, or related field
- Experience using CAD software
- Cash handling and oversight experience
- Experience in a Performing Arts Center or a sports/entertainment venue
- Experience with building/managing season ticketing for arts or sports
- Bi-Lingual
Work Schedule: Wednesday - Tuesday; 40 hours - includes weekends, nights, and holidays.
