Applications are now being accepted for the position of:
Information Services Technician
Technical support for software and hardware on the GEUS corporate network.
- Install and troubleshoot hardware and software for all corporate servers and desktop systems (Windows)
- Evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions
- Assist with managing and administering access to the corporate network
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and security of the corporate network and other corporate systems.
- Provide assistance and technical support to end-users
- Perform routine maintenance for all network resources including printers, scanners, servers, desktop PCs, laptops, and tablets
- Configure and define parameters for WAN and/or LAN systems and related equipment
- Maintain VOIP desk phone setup and administration including call recording and reporting
- Provide cell phone assistance and setup support for company related cell phones
- Understanding of how to handle confidential information and awareness of the consequences of improper administration or release

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus additional training or education in Information Services or Information Technology equivalent to an Associates degree preferred
- 2 years of IS and technology related support and experience
- Working knowledge of a Windows domain and iOS software,
- Working knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware and software
- Proficiency in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, and graphic applications (Microsoft Office)
- Experience troubleshooting and assisting end-users with various technology related issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management as well as customers, city and state personnel, and personnel from other utilities
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and crawling under desks, climbing ladders, moderate to heavy walking, and climbing of stairs
Pay Rate: DOQ Full-Time Employment
