What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Communications Technician position at City of Henderson?
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Visual Communications Technician in the Department of Communications. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, plans and assembles visual information projects in support of the City's public relations and education program; and performs related duties as assigned.
An ideal candidate can expect the following:
The Visual Communications Technician will produce compelling video content that aligns with the city’s mission and values. Video content created will include corporate videos, interviews with clients and employees, trainings, event coverage, motion graphics and other video/photo related projects across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas, collaborating with various city departments. Proficient with video editing and photo editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop). Advanced eye for style and visual composition. Ability to transport, set up, operate video production and audio equipment. Flexible schedule for shooting on weekends. Capable of working independently and part of a team.

- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in public relations, marketing, journalism, communications, television and film communication, graphic or commercial arts, or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience involving video production or providing audio/visual support
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483
