Salary Range: $23.98-$36.60/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
REQUIRES high school graduation and 5 years of related and increasingly responsible experience in engineering drawing, mapping, automated mapping, GIS and equipment, CADD, engineering, land survey, construction inspection and related fields; OR high school graduation and 2 years of experience at the level of Engineering Technician and possession of either the Level II Engineering Technology Certification in any Civil, Electrical or Mechanical discipline as issued by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET); the Land Surveyor in Training as issued by the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, and Professional Landscape Architects; OR the Class B Wastewater Collections System Certification from the Missouri Water Environmental Association; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical as prescribed by the City.

Responsibilities
- Assists with the planning, implementation, and completion of major assignments.
- Coordinates activities with other governmental agencies, city contractors, city departments, and staff.
- Collects, processes, and produces survey data.
- May lead a field survey party.
- Collects survey data to support the preliminary design efforts of capital projects.
- Assists with survey data collection for City projects and acquisitions as needed.
- Creates ore reviews record drawings/as-built drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Assists with the development of easement legal descriptions and/or drawings for capital projects or investigations.
- Assists with staking of right of way boundaries, easements, property lines, and grading, in support of capital projects and investigations.
- Assists with the extent of right-of-way or easement encroachments.
- Assists with legal descriptions and exhibits for documentation and acquisition purposes.
- Researches documents of all types in support of survey efforts/activities.
- Measures movement or settlement of assets and tracking the results over time.
- Provides technical assistance to internal and external customers in support of capital projects or efforts/activities.
- Responds to correspondence and calls from internal and external customers.
- Interacts with other utilities, departments, and agencies to resolve issues or questions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
