Help the Marketing Department with events and promotions for the RP Funding Center, which includes: Jenkins Arena, Youkey Theatre, Exhibition & Sikes Hall and property. Perform entry level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the opportunity for professional training in various offices throughout the City. Perform assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance. Specific activities vary by department. Work is performed under direct supervision.

- Assist the Marketing Department with advertising of all shows. (Receiving proposals, negotiating and placement of ads in Print, Radio, TV, Billboard, Internet)
- Help proofread print ad copy, radio spot copy, press releases, weekly e-blasts, etc.
- Support the marketing department with maintaining and updating social media sites and online event calendars
- Promote the entertainment complex by grassroots efforts on ticketed events, i.e. flyers, street team etc when needed
- Assist with producing collateral materials (ad layouts, brochures and promotional)
- Updating Media lists, VIP lists, group sales lists, etc
- Organize and maintain marketing files, i.e. digitizing news clippings
- Conducting marketing/show research
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform related work as required

- Skill in the use of personal computers and standard office equipment
- Must be a people person with an upbeat personality
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Ability to promptly and effectively complete tasks

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other City employees and the general public
- Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, and to request clarification when needed
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:
- Requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis, routine keyboard operations
- The job risks exposure to no significant environmental hazards
- The job requires normal visual acuity, and field of vision, hearing and speaking
