The City of Littleton's Municipal Court is seeking a Court Supervisor.
The Court Supervisor manages daily operations of the Municipal Court, directly supervising the Court Clerks that provide professional level administrative support services to the court judges, attorneys and law enforcement officials.

This position will supervise a staff of 6 that include Court Clerks and Administrative employees, provide administrative support to judges, attorneys and other public officials.

Starting pay at or near $77,718
- Salary range $62,174-$93,261
- Other recruitment incentives may be available.
- This position is new and successful candidate will begin on or after January 1, 2022.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position and will work a hybrid schedule with some days teleworking and some days working in person at the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory responsibility for the Court Clerks and customer service they provide within the Municipal Court;- Maintain court clerk procedure manual;
- Approve court expenditures, and make budget recommendations to court administrator;
- Provide instructions and procedural clarification to staff and court participants;
- Meet with court administrator, judges and other appropriate; personnel to develop procedural changes for continuous improvement;
- Track court performance measures and prepare monthly and year-to-date statistical reports;
- Issue warrants signed by a judge, subpoenas, summons, complaints, and other legal instruments;
- Review validate and audit Warrant and Protection Orders;
- Maintains the City’s records concerning court files; and
- Performs other similar assignments and projects as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Selects, trains, and evaluates personnel; assigns, and directs work; addresses complaints and resolves operational issues.
- Manages employee performance through meaningful, timely feedback and appraisals.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration or related field and,
- A minimum of three (3) years municipal government experience with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a municipal court setting,
- An equivalent combination of business education, training, or work experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position;
- NCIC/CCIC Certified within 2 months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATOINS
- Current municipal court experience
- Supervisory or demonstrated lead experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
Knowledge of court procedures and protocol as well as all records management requirements associated with court administration;- Knowledge of municipal and state regulations, ordinances, records management, and personnel administration;
- Proficient in data and text entry, spreadsheets, word processing, and court software;
- Excellent organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, setting deadlines, and planning for future changes and events;
- Ability to evaluate and provide effective feedback on employees’ work;
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and appropriately inform others without prompting;
- Provides updates regularly and/or at critical moments or when appropriate;
- Ability to recognize and identify areas for process improvement, understand impact of changes;
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and
- Ability to pass a background check.
