Summary of duties:
- Responsible for entering the weekly production schedules into the machine software, optimizes and prioritizes wire processing sequence and transfers optimized wire lists to equipment.
- Verifies parameters to achieve quality wires, using machine software.
- Ensures wires and applicators are lined up for the wires to be processed; based on production schedules.
- Responsible for the operation of all equipment in the area.
- Follows all safety rules and instructions, maintain 5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line as required.
- Reads and interprets various blueprints, wiring diagrams, test procedures, oral instructions and/or established procedures and bills of material.
- Assembles and adjusts components based on blueprints or diagrams.
- Attaches various parts to incomplete assemblies or sub-assemblies using a variety of fixtures, hand and power tools, standalone bench press, wire strippers and material handling equipment.
- May coordinate sub-assembly work processes.
- Disassembles a range of finished products, recommends need for minor overhaul or limited parts replacement, and reassembles.
- Responsible for auditing assembly lines and fabrication areas at key points of process to assure conformance.
- Takes part in the training process for all new team members. Provides input regarding the performance of new team members. Participates with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams. Works with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high degree of electrical, computer and mechanical ability/experience preferred.
- Skilled in assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret schedules, process sheets, moderately complex drawings, blueprints,specifications, schematics/wiring diagrams, bills of material, etc.
- Ability to use various mechanical measuring equipment to calibrate or test finished product.
- Capable of using a variety of computer/inspection equipment.
- Ability to evaluate data that is obtained or received.
- Must complete dexterity test.
- Able to make decisions regarding acceptable defective products and perform other duties as
- Wire training will be provided/required. With additional training courses possible.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and understand written English.
