Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to internal operations, including but not limited to human resources analytics, IT service tickets, financial transactions, and facility usage. Identify trends and areas for improvement in internal service delivery.
Report Generation: Create detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings, highlight areas for operational enhancements, and track progress over time. Utilize data visualization tools to present information in an accessible manner to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Project Support: Participate in projects aimed at enhancing internal services, such as implementing new software systems, developing employee training programs, or streamlining financial processes. Assist in project planning, execution, and evaluation.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments and teams to understand their internal service needs and challenges. Facilitate communication between departments to promote best practices and shared solutions.
Technology Proficiency: Use a variety of software tools and platforms for data management, process automation, and project management to support the objectives of the Internal Services Department.
This is a part-time, temporary internship position, with hours that are flexible to accommodate academic schedules. The internship's duration is flexible.
Direct supervision will be provided by the Managing Director for Internal Services.
The position may require occasional travel to different city facilities or departments as part of data collection or project implementation efforts.
Enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a degree program in public administration, business administration, information systems, finance, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle complex information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis tools, database management systems, or project management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
A proactive attitude towards identifying and resolving operational inefficiencies within an organization.
Interest in municipal operations, public administration, and the internal mechanisms that support public services.
