Data Analyst

In this role you will be responsible for working on strategic, data driven projects for Apple Inc. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced, exciting industry, who is looking for their next challenge within the travel and meetings industry. You will work with a collaborative global team that thrives on innovative projects and solutions for transient corporate travel, meetings and entertainment. We are seeking someone who is highly analytical, data-savvy and passionate to expand their skillset. This role requires attention to detail, critical thinking and creative problem solving.

A snapshot of this opportunity

• Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting
• Analyze and communicate complex data in comprehensible ways
• Identify needs from user requests and develop strategies by which to meet those needs
• Collect customer requirements, determine technical issues, and design reports to meet data analysis needs
• Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational needs
• Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Implement and maintain standardized global data collection processes
• Create and maintain supporting data and reporting process documentation

How you can set yourself apart

• BA/BS in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, Management Information Systems or relevant experience
• 2 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong proficiency in querying, manipulating and analyzing large data sets using SQL and/or SQL-like languages
• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI 
• Working knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes
• Good attention to detail with the ability to join, calibrate and quality control multiple data sources
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, adapt quickly, problem solve and learn independently
• Strong writing, visualization and interpersonal skills 
• Skillful to communicate complex analyses in a clear, detailed and actionable manner
• Strength presenting data in forms such as charts and graphs
• Demonstrate superior creative thinking and decision making abilities consistently in their work
• Sharp critical-thinking skills to process huge amounts of information on a regular basis
• Thrives in a high-stress environment and is quick to adapt to the ever-changing conditions of businesses
• Must be adept at investigating problems and fixing them in the most efficient way possible
• In addition to knowing the nuts and bolts of the systems, must be able to work with a variety of people within a diverse, global workforce
• Educated in technology, comfortable with both emerging technologies and legacy systems
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical business partners
• Experience in travel & meetings data flow would be considered a plus
