What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mayor's Office Intern position at City of Rochester Hills?
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Assistant to the Mayor, the Student Marketing Intern will work on key community initiatives, fundraising campaigns, special events and communications. This immersive experience allows the intern to learn about City departments, interact with local leaders and visit City facilities and operations.

While you are a private citizen, you are also a representative of Rochester Hills to the outside world. If you wish to share information about your internship site and experiences through social media forums, you should discuss the content with your Supervisor first, and ask for advice on what is permissible.
PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The physical and work environment characteristics described in this description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, frequently requires standing, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions and occasionally requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and reaching with hands and arms.
Oral Evaluation of Qualifications: To evaluate technical knowledge, decision-making/problem solving skills, employment history, communication skills, and other factors related to successful performance in this position.
