This position is crucial in supporting the City's Finance Department and Utility Billing operations, covering services such as water, sewer, and garbage. The primary responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, resolving account issues, and handling utility accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist utility customers with inquiries, complaints, and the opening and closing of utility accounts.
- Explain utility policies and ordinances clearly to customers.
- Process and maintain service orders, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Assist in generating and sending delinquent notices to customers.
- Support the monthly disconnection processes.
- Collect payments for various city services including utilities, events, facilities, parks, and pools.
- Maintain an organized and balanced daily cash drawer.
- Process daily bank deposits accurately.
- Track and issue animal licenses as required.
- Facilitate the issuance of pool passes to eligible residents.
- Process applications for event rentals and park usage, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
- Contribute to team efforts by performing related duties as assigned.
