The Springfield Police Department is seeking a dedicated and driven law enforcement professional to serve as an Investigative Services Specialist. As an Investigative Services Specialist you will play an impactful roll in communicating information, aiding in the investigative process in the department.
What you'll do:
- Collect, review, and process case reports, media requests, and prepare photo line ups.
- Assist detectives with criminal history and driving information through the nationwide database.
- Utilize computer systems and databases for data entry, information retrieval, and tracking.

Experience, Education, and Training- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Communications or related area;
OR
- Two years experience with criminal justice system experience as a victim advocate, probationary officer, court clerk or closely related occupation.
Licensing/Certification- Ability to obtain and maintain state certification as a MULES terminal operator within probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Incumbent must possess a valid Driver's License in order to operate a vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties depending on assignment.
