A Police Sergeant maintains responsibility for the first-line supervision of a squad/platoon of protective service personnel who provide emergency and non-emergency law enforcement services to the public; supervise civilian support personnel at the precinct/bureau level as required; and discharge related administrative duties and responsibilities associated with first-line supervisory position.
