What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCADA MANAGER position at City of Weatherford, TX?
The City of Weatherford’s Water Utility Department is looking to hire an Instrumentation and SCADA Manager. This position will perform work related to the installation, configuration, maintenance, and operation of all electrical and SCADA system components at each water pump station, wastewater lift station, and water/wastewater treatment plants. Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- Installs, replaces, modifies, maintains, and repairs all PLC / SCADA equipment at remote water / wastewater facilities as well as the water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Manages, installs, modifies and maintains all PLC / SCADA programming throughout the water and wastewater systems.
- Schedules and performs inspections and annual preventative maintenance of all SCADA components.
- Monitors SCADA system controls to maintain lift station levels, water storage tank levels, and chlorine levels.
- Works with HMI graphical interface programs to display information on water tanks and lift stations.
- Creates analog and digital reports for water modeling and field troubleshooting.
- Reviews, analyzes, and communicates daily SCADA alerts; manages the Water Utility’s alarm system for notifying/dispatching on-call staff. (The Water Utility currently uses Win911 for notifying/dispatching on-call staff, but are evaluating other programs, such as Ignition, that can perform similar functions.)
- Alternate working schedules available.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Five years of commercial electrical duties and two years industrial instrumentation experience. • Two years of supervisory experience. • Must possess a Journeyman’s Electrical License (Master’s preferred). • Must possess a valid Class C Texas Driver’s License.
