Performs intermediate skilled trades work installing and maintaining street signs and markings, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the close supervision of the Assistant Traffic Signal Supervisor.

Installs, maintains, and repairs various traffic signs.
Sets up barricades for traffic maintenance.
Assists with road and lane closures.
Installs and reconditions road markings.
Performs duties associated with operation of paint truck.
Performs snow removal duties as necessary.
Provides assistance for special events and evenings as needed.
Education and Experience: Less than high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures; thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and departmental legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances, and laws; thorough knowledge of vehicle maintenance reports; general knowledge of industry standard and department specific equipment; some knowledge of standard office and department specific software; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to read maps; ability to work during inclement weather snow removal and special events as needed; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
