What are the responsibilities and job description for the PPC Specialist position at CJ Pony Parts?
CJ Pony Parts is looking for a full-time PPC (Pay Per Click) Specialist to join our growing digital marketing team! In this role, you will be responsible for actively managing and optimizing the paid media accounts for the company.
This person will work closely with the VP of Search Engine Marketing and other department stakeholders to ensure our paid strategy aligns with overall marketing and business objectives.

The PPC Specialist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns on Google, Bing, and Facebook
- Fully understand business objectives and translate them into PPC action plans
- Manage Google Shopping, Search, Display, and Discovery campaigns on a daily basis
- Maintain and optimize product listing feeds
- Analyze the performance of PPC campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly
- Constantly research the latest tools and techniques in paid search
- Undertake smart PPC bid decisions to ensure maximum ROI for a given online budget spend
- Use trending tools and similar approaches to constantly review target/keyword relevancy
- Communicate with other company departments to ensure joint strategic marketing objectives are in step with paid marketing activity
- Work with programming and design teams to ensure success with paid search adverts
- Assist in demand forecasting and budget planning
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- High character. Company culture is important to us.
- 1-2 years of eCommerce PPC experience, including writing ad/headline copy.
- A completed bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook Ads, and Google Merchant Center. Proficiency in Google Analytics is also required.
- Superior analytical abilities and an understanding of internet marketing business models and metrics.
- Strong critical thinking and research skills. Search engines change daily and the strategies that worked yesterday might not work today.
- Enthusiasm. The ideal candidate wants to be the best at their job. They set lofty goals and constantly seek to improve themselves.
- Technical knowledge. You should be comfortable with eCommerce advertising strategies and have a pulse on the latest news and trends in the digital marketing space.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus points if you’ve had experience in the automotive industry!
