What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Labour Analyst position at Claire's European Services Limited?
As a Store Labour Analyst your key areas include the allocation, analysis and reporting around all aspects of Store Labour for the European field. Store Labour - Working with a multi-million$ store labour budget over 15 countries. Using the EU Labour Model, you will be responsible for providing the teams with accurate labour forecasting and allocation in support of the financial sales plan. This involves the administration of allot of data and the purpose of this role will be to gather and process this from a number of sources, producing a number of reports and ensuring compliance across the field teams. Using the data collated you will be able to identify key trends and areas of cost saving and reinvestment potential. Generate monthly store labour allocations using the Labour Model and communicate these hours to the European field teams in line with the Labour budget. Collecting data from the field and keeping all Store Labour based models updated with the latest financial results and reporting key findings/observations to the Line Manager and wider business. Analyse data to look for patterns of over / under spend, escalating compliance concerns as needed and challenging the field regarding the use of store hours. Liaise with the field retail teams and resolving store queries in a timely manner. Provide weekly reporting to the field teams to ensure compliance and monthly variance reporting to finance and the wider business on store hour usage and the effects on average wage rates. Collaborate with internal Store Operations and field teams to identify opportunities for store labour efficiency ensuring store contracts are in line with allocations and identifying way to improve store productivity through reviews of bases and trading hours. Assist in the management of Store Labour based projects, integration of new forecasting and scheduling systems. Prepare and work to timelines, produce field training material and internal support documentation as reference tools. Work closely we other areas of the business such as, but not limited to, HR, Payroll, Finance and Retail to ensure the field have everything they need to support them with everyday trading. What are we looking for? To be considered for this role we are keen to speak to people with the following skills and experience: A financially / numerically minded individual with excellent Microsoft excel PowerBI skills essential. VBA modelling skills, and SQL databases knowledge/experience desirable. Experienced in managing large volumes of data and capable of quickly and accurately summarising information into a format from which meaningful conclusions and options can be drawn. Ability to work alongside a wide range of business functions and geographies, including Finance, Operations, HR and IT and confident communicating with a wide range of different people, including senior members of the business. Attention to Detail – works quicky to produce work that is accurate, thorough, and on time. Analysis - Uses relevant data and information in a clear and coherent manner to assess and understand issues, evaluate options, form accurate conclusions and recommend decisions. Communication skills – Excellent telephone and email manner. Able to communicate with a range of different people. Organisational Skills – Including the use of folders, time management and prioritisation skills. Presentation skills – Able to produce clear user-friendly reports and presentations include formatting, layouts etc. Proven experience in a retail environment, with planning or analytic background preferred.
